Platform Overview
What is a digital town hub?
A digital town hub is a centralised platform which town managers, community groups, local businesses and residents in a town or city share for placemaking.
It puts community representatives in control of the way in which content is published, data is managed and local digital infrastructure is used.
Towns install a local digital hub because they believe that the national or multinational alternatives (e.g. social media, food delivery platforms, e-commerce etc) aren’t providing the conditions for local people to prosper and thrive.
A digital town hub is run by local people for local people.
Loqiva’s digital town hubs are aligned with the principles of Community Tech. We make smart city inspired solutions accessible to local communities.
Who is responsible for your digital town hub?
If you have a digital town hub for your town or city, a host organisation will be responsible for its operation and management.
Host organisations are typically Business Improvement Districts, Local Councils or Community Organisations.
What role does Loqiva play?
Loqiva is the developer of the digital town hub software.
It provides the Loqiva digital town hub product and all the technical support host organisations require.
