Loqiva launches first Canadian Digital Town Hub

Loqiva has launched its first Digital Town Hub in Canada in partnership with Downtown London BIA.

The new “Downtown London” hub brings everything local together in one place, making it easier for people to see what’s happening across the downtown area and stay connected to the life of the district.

Downtown London is a district with its own rhythm. It’s home to Canada Life Place, Covent Garden Market, The Grand Theatre, and a growing network of independent retailers, cafés and restaurants tucked along Dundas Place, Richmond Row and the surrounding streets.

Festivals like Sunfest, Forest City London Music Week and the many events hosted in Market Square, Victoria and Harris Park, and Dundas Place bring thousands downtown each year, while new murals, public art and community projects continue to reshape the area’s identity. The Hub helps make all of that easier to navigate and enjoy.

It also gives local businesses a simple way to share what they’re doing, whether that’s an event, a special offer or a piece of news, directly with people who care about the downtown. The BIA can see what content resonates, helping them shape future campaigns and better understand how people engage with the area.

Brent Hodson is the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Downtown London BIA.

“Our downtown is always evolving, and this platform helps us evolve with it. The Digital Town Hub is more than just another communication channel. It gives us the digital tools and infrastructure to support our future plans, build stronger connections with residents, visitors and businesses, and better understand what matters to the people who live, work and visit downtown London.

We see this as a significant step forward in how we connect with our community and how we continue to build the future of Downtown London.”

For Loqiva, the launch marks its first step into Canada after successful projects across the UK, Ireland and USA.
Barry Conlon, Co‑Founder of Loqiva, said:

“Launching our first Canadian Digital Town Hub is a major milestone for Loqiva. We’ve seen the impact that giving places ownership of their digital presence can have, putting them in control of how they showcase their town or city and connect with their communities.

Downtown London is the perfect partner to start our Canadian journey. This is just the beginning for Loqiva in Canada, and we look forward to supporting more great Place Managers across the country soon.”

The Downtown London app launches on the App Store and Google Play Store in August 2026.
