Loqiva makes Stirling progress

Go Forth Stirling BID has partnered with Loqiva to launch the “In Stirling” Digital Town Hub, a new digital home for the city that brings together local businesses, events, offers and information in one place. Designed to connect residents, visitors and businesses, the hub showcases everything that makes Stirling one of Scotland’s most distinctive destinations.

Stirling’s place in Scottish history is impossible to ignore. Home to the magnificent Stirling Castle, the National Wallace Monument and the site of the Battle of Bannockburn, the city has played a defining role in shaping the nation. Today, those world-famous landmarks sit alongside a thriving city centre filled with independent businesses, restaurants, cafés and cultural attractions that continue to draw visitors from across Scotland and beyond.

Created to support the BID’s vision for a more connected city centre, the In Stirling Digital Town Hub gives the city a dedicated digital presence that reflects the strength of its physical offer, while providing the BID with greater control over engagement, communication and insight.

Whether searching for what’s on this weekend, finding a local business, or exploring the city’s latest promotions and activities, users can access everything through one app. For businesses, the hub provides a direct way to engage with customers, promote offers and increase visibility throughout the year. For Go Forth Stirling BID, it delivers valuable insight into resident engagement and visitor behaviour, helping inform future initiatives and supporting evidence-based place management.

Danielle McRorie-Smith, BID Manager at Go Forth Stirling BID, said:

“Go Forth Stirling’s vision is to create new and welcoming opportunities for our city centre, while celebrating the unique character that makes Stirling such a special place.

The In Stirling Digital Town Hub is an important step in delivering that vision. It will help us promote the city more effectively, support local businesses, and gain a better understanding of how people engage with Stirling. Those insights will help us make informed decisions that strengthen the city and enhance the experience for residents, workers and visitors alike.”

For Loqiva, In Stirling is another milestone in the growing adoption of Digital Town Hubs across Scotland, as towns and cities increasingly embrace digital tools to strengthen their local economies.

Barry Conlon, Co-founder of Loqiva, said:

“Stirling is a city with an incredible story to tell, but in a digital-first world, cities can no longer rely on fragmented channels and third-party platforms to shape how they are seen and experienced.

Places need ownership of their own digital presence; a single, trusted source that brings together everything that defines them, from businesses and events to culture and everyday activity. The In Stirling Digital Town Hub is about giving Go Forth Stirling BID that control, ensuring the city can present itself in a joined-up way across both its physical and digital footprint.”

The In Stirling app will be available on the App Store and Google Play in August 2026.
