Loqiva is bringing the Love to Inverness

Loqiva is partnering with Inverness City Centre BID to launch the “Love Inverness” digital town hub in the city.

The Love Inverness digital town hub includes the ultimate local app for Inverness residents and visitors, combined with powerful e-commerce and marketing tools for the city’s businesses, as well as analytics and communication tools for the BID team.

Inverness City Centre BID deputy manager Margaret Laws said:

“The Love Inverness app is designed to strengthen the connections within our community by bringing people together and providing a central hub for both locals and visitors.  It offers everything people need in one place, from exclusive offers and event listings to real-time transport updates.”

Inverness is a unique place.  It is the most northerly city in the UK, the capital of the Highlands, and one of the fastest growing cities in Europe.

The city’s history dates back to the 6th Century.  Local historical landmarks include the site of the Battle of Culloden where the last pitched battle in the UK took place.  And the iconic Inverness Castle where Macbeth famously murdered King Duncan in Shakespeare’s tragedy.

Modern Inverness may be less dramatic, but no less interesting.  Visitors and residents are drawn to the diverse offering within the town centre, with independent retailers offering locally sourced antiques, clothing, gifts and art pieces.  And of course, being in the Scottish Highlands there are whisky and gin distilleries a-plenty.

The annual events calendar draws people into the city centre, with family favourites Great Easter Egg Hunt, Classic Vehicle Show, and Fiver Fest.

Marcus Chidgey, co-founder of Loqiva said.

“We are thrilled to launch a digital town hub in the fantastic city of Inverness. It is clear that Lorraine and the team at Inverness BID have a vision for the city and in particular for the role of technology in engaging and promoting their stakeholders.  I am really confident that the Love Inverness digital town hub will be a great success.”

The Love Inverness app is now available to download on the App store and Google Play store.
