Loqiva, the market-leading community engagement platform, is excited to announce the launch of its first US Digital Town Hub, in partnership with the Bay Ridge 5th Avenue Business Improvement District (BID). The “Bay Ridge 5th Avenue” Digital Town Hub will serve as a dynamic platform for both residents and businesses in Brooklyn’s vibrant Bay Ridge neighborhood.

The new digital town hub combines a user-friendly app for local residents and visitors with advanced e-commerce, marketing tools and analytics to support Bay Ridge’s local businesses. It will also provide valuable communication and data-driven insights for the BID team, further enhancing their community-building efforts.

Elizabeth Lovejoy, Executive Director, Bay Ridge 5th Avenue BID:
“The BID remains steadfast in its dedication to promoting, marketing, and celebrating the vibrant and thriving Bay Ridge community. We’re proud of all that this neighborhood has to offer and are dedicated to providing the best for both residents and businesses. After evaluating all the digital solutions on the market, Loqiva’s Digital Town Hub stood out as the clear leader. We’re excited to roll it out in our district.”

Over the years, the Bay Ridge 5th Avenue BID has spearheaded a variety of initiatives, including:

  • Focus On 5th: A campaign offering free marketing support to small businesses, including social media optimization, website design, and branding services.Senior Discount Program: A special initiative offering discounts to the district’s senior residents to ensure they have access to affordable services and products.
  • Arts On The Avenue: A series of public art installations transforming the 5th Avenue corridor into a cultural destination. This initiative enhances the area’s visual appeal, increases foot traffic, and fosters community connections across Bay Ridge’s diverse population.
  • Ramadan Holiday Lighting: The BID made history as the first in the United States to install Ramadan holiday lighting, setting a groundbreaking precedent in New York City that has since inspired other districts to follow its lead.

The BID’s robust calendar of events, including the annual street festival, Festive Fifth, End of Summer Multi-Block Party, and the Halloween Fest draws thousands to the area each year. With the addition of the digital town hub, the BID is taking its efforts to the next level, leveraging cutting-edge technology to support local businesses and further engage the community.
