Birmingham Colmore, the curators of Colmore Life, has partnered with Loqiva to launch the “Colmore Life” Digital Town Hub, in order to showcase and connect Birmingham’s cultural, commercial and civic heart.
Centrally located and well connected, Colmore is home to over 650 companies and more than 75,000 professionals as the hub of the West Midlands’ business, professional and financial services cluster. Their distinctive mix of heritage architecture, productive workspaces, world class hospitality, independent retailers and cultural venues creates an environment where communities connect and enterprise flourishes. The district buzzes with activity from early morning commuters to evening events, making it a focal point for Birmingham’s working life.
The Colmore Life app brings this energy into one digital space, enabling workers and visitors to discover businesses, services, places to eat and meet, as well as cultural and networking events, whilst also providing practical information for workers, residents, and visitors.
For local businesses, the platform is a direct channel to share news, promotions, and initiatives, helping them connect more effectively with their local communities. For Birmingham Colmore, it offers a real-time engagement tool to understand the area’s needs and measure the impact of their projects.
Felicity Blades, Marketing Manager at Birmingham Colmore, said:
“Colmore is a vibrant and highly dynamic district, and we wanted a platform that truly reflects our unique character.
The Colmore Life app will help us highlight everything that makes Colmore so special, from our professional pulse to our cafés, restaurants, and cultural spaces. It also gives us a smarter way to connect with businesses and the people who experience Colmore every day.”
The launch of Colmore Life app marks Loqiva’s third Digital Town Hub in the Birmingham area, following successful platforms in the Jewellery Quarter and Harborne. The rollout reflects Loqiva’s growing network of Digital Town Hubs across the UK, and the movement to support smarter, evidence-led place management that benefits both businesses and the wider community.
Barry Conlon, Co-founder of Loqiva, said:
“The Colmore Life app does more than showcase the district’s strengths. It helps businesses connect with people, reveals the area’s hidden gems, and makes Colmore feel unmistakably alive to everyone who works, visits, or simply wanders through.”
The Colmore Life app is now available to download on the App Store and Google Play store.
