Loqiva is excited to announce a partnership with King’s Lynn Business Improvement District to launch the “Discover King’s Lynn” digital town hub. This innovative platform combines a feature-rich app for residents and visitors with cutting-edge e-commerce and marketing tools for local businesses, as well as analytics and communication tools to support the BID team.
King’s Lynn BID Manager, Vicky Etheridge, said:
“Our vision for King’s Lynn is to create a town we can all be proud of, where businesses prosper, our communities thrive, and the town is a true destination of choice for visitors. We’re always looking for new and different ways to more effectively promote the town and highlight all that it has to offer.
We often hear people saying that they wish there was one place they could go to find out what’s on in the town and we think that Loqiva’s digital town hub provides the solution, especially having seen the results across other towns and cities around the UK. It was an obvious choice to make our vision for the future of King’s Lynn a reality.
We’re really grateful to the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk for agreeing to contribute funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund towards the set up costs.”
King’s Lynn is a town rich in heritage, located in the heart of Norfolk. Its history dates back to the 12th century, with iconic landmarks like the majestic Custom House, the Hanseatic Warehouse, and the Town Hall Complex showcasing its maritime and trade history. Visitors can explore the town’s charming cobbled streets, medieval architecture, and bustling marketplaces.
Today, King’s Lynn thrives as a cultural and commercial hub. The town is renowned for its vibrant mix of independent retailers, offering everything from locally made crafts and unique gifts to artisanal food and drink. Additionally, its proximity to the scenic Norfolk Coast draws visitors seeking natural beauty and seaside experiences.
The annual events calendar is another major draw, featuring popular attractions like Festival Too, Heritage Open Day, the King’s Lynn Festival, and the Hanseatic Weekend, which celebrate the town’s history and community spirit.
Marcus Chidgey, Co-founder of Loqiva, shared:
“We’re delighted to work with Vicky and the King’s Lynn BID to launch this digital town hub. We want to highlight everything that makes King’s Lynn special, with a particular spotlight on all of the great work that the BID does for the town. I can’t wait to see the new platform become an essential part of everyday life for local residents, businesses, and visitors of King’s Lynn.”
The Discover King’s Lynn app will be available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store on the 12th March.
