How It Works

The Profanity Filter prevents undesirable content from being saved to the Hub.

Updating the Profanity Filter List

The Profanity Filter list is pre-populated with a list that many social media websites use to block profanities.

We suggest that you:

• check through the list to see if you agree with the profanities being filtered. (Note that some words can be quite graphic. You may wish to do this in private).
• add content to the hub as an Admin using Events, Offers etc. You may find permissible content for your setting is blocked. Delete the relevant words in the Profanity Filter List as needed.
• think ahead as to whether any other content might be blocked for business or community users. In context, profanities may be included in event descriptions, e.g. comedy,  and sexual health awareness campaigns.
• Make sure that each word or phrase is separated by a comma when you Save Changes.
