Oban, widely known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland, is a seasonal town on the west coast of the Highlands. Renowned for its growing food scene, vibrant live music, and stunning coastal setting, the town welcomes a surge of visitors during peak months.
To better support its residents and businesses year-round, Oban BID sought a single platform to manage communication, drive engagement, and gather meaningful insights about town activity.
The BID wanted:

Results
Eighteen months on, the Love Oban digital town hub is thriving:
- Over 80% of the BID’s levy payers, from independent traders to national brands, have joined the platform
- The Digital Town Hub has become the central source for Oban’s event listings, powering everything from the Royal National Mòd and Highland Games to activities during the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race
- In 2024, Oban was awarded Scottish Town of the Year, recognition in part for the forward-thinking technology it has embraced to create a more connected, dynamic place.
