Why a Digital Town Hub?
In 2023, Nottingham BID launched a major rebranding initiative for the city, unveiling a refreshed It’s In Nottingham brand and a new website. But beyond the visuals, they needed a smarter way to engage with businesses and the wider community.
The BID was looking for a solution that would empower local businesses with practical digital tools, improve communication, and demonstrate real value. Their goals were clear:
- Showcase tangible value to Nottingham’s business community
- Provide a seamless, two-way communication channel:
- From the BID to its businesses
- From businesses to the BID
- Between businesses themselves
- Share timely updates on local news, opportunities and events
Results
Eighteen months on, It’s In Nottingham digital town hub has far exceeded expectations:
- Over 50% of the BID’s levy payers, ranging from independents to major chains, have signed up to the platform
- The It's in Nottingham platform is now the go-to source for city-wide events, offers and BID communications
- It plays a key role in powering Nottingham’s annual events calendar, including Light Night Festival, Restaurant Week, Halloween Monsters, and the Christmas Markets
