High Street Ken goes digital

It’s one of London’s most iconic districts, renowned for its blend of world-class retail, historic architecture, and flagship luxury brands. Now, it has the best in technology to match.

Opportunity Kensington BID has partnered with Loqiva to launch the “High Street Ken” Digital Town Hub, a sophisticated platform designed to showcase the district’s premier cultural, retail, and commercial assets.

High Street Kensington remains a global destination. Alongside its stately charm and grand terrace views, it boasts independent boutiques, a celebrated dining scene, and prestigious cultural institutions. The area serves as a vital anchor for both international visitors and a dedicated local community.

The launch of the High Street Ken app represents a significant evolution of the district’s engagement strategy. It effectively digitises the BID’s highly successful “Token” scheme, which has long been a cornerstone of local promotion. By transitioning this initiative into a digital format, the BID is making it easier than ever for users to access exclusive rewards, discover hidden gems, and stay informed about the latest events across the Kensington area.

For local businesses, the hub provides a direct, real-time channel to communicate with customers, sharing everything from seasonal promotions to new service launches. For Opportunity Kensington, the platform offers valuable insights into the district’s pulse, allowing for more evidence-led management and a deeper understanding of how the community interacts with the High Street.

Alex Wintur at Opportunity Kensington BID, said:

“High Street Kensington is about the best of the best, and we wanted to provide a digital experience to match.

Our new digital town hub is more than just an app; it’s High Street Ken in your pocket.  All of our brilliant businesses, offers, events and information are now immediately accessible to our visitors and residents.”

This partnership marks the latest expansion of Loqiva’s growing network of Digital Town Hubs across the UK, supporting a nationwide movement toward data-driven place management that is making places stronger and smarter.

Marcus Chidgey, Co-founder of Loqiva, said:

“We are proud to help Opportunity Kensington showcase their amazing district. By digitising their proven engagement models, the BID is ensuring that High Street Ken remains at the forefront of the modern high street experience; dynamic, connected, and accessible.”

The High Street Ken app is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
