Hello Spalding! A new digital town hub launches in the heart of the Fens

Loqiva has partnered with Spalding BID to launch Hello Spalding, a new Digital Town Hub designed to connect people with everything the town has to offer.

The platform makes it easy for residents and visitors to explore Spalding’s shops, services, and historic landmarks, while giving local businesses powerful tools to share their latest offers, news, and events directly with the community. For the BID, it provides a real-time feedback loop to measure the impact of initiatives and strengthen engagement with businesses across the town.

Aligned with the Spalding BID Business Plan, the Hello Spalding hub supports efforts to enhance the town’s image, increase footfall, and celebrate its distinctive character. From independent traders and the bustling market to cultural highlights like the Spalding Flower Parade, Ayscoughfee Hall, and the River Welland, the platform brings the town’s best features together in one digital place.

Sarah Fletcher, BID Manager for Spalding, commented:

“The Hello Spalding Digital Town Hub will provide a much needed digital presence to showcase our town’s best assets.

It will help people make the most of what’s here, while keeping money circulating locally. For us at the BID, it’s an invaluable way to listen more closely, respond more quickly, and show the impact of our work across the town.”

Hello Spalding is Loqiva’s first Digital Town Hub in Lincolnshire, but it is part of a growing national movement. Across the country, town managers are recognising the value of having a platform that allows them to own and manage their own data, and create the digital infrastructure that will benefit their place for many years to come

Barry Conlon, Co-founder of Loqiva.

“We’re delighted to be working with Sarah and the Spalding BID team. Spalding is a town rich in culture and history, which gives it such a distinctive identity. Hello Spalding will bring all of this to life digitally, helping people discover the town’s charm, connect with local businesses, and make the town centre buzz with activity.”

The Hello Spalding Digital Town Hub app will be available to download on the App Store and Google Play in December, with further announcements and events to follow.
